Being in my room is so peaceful. I'm sipping soda, half listening to Jennifer Aniston and talking to Whitney on the phone. Remnants of a raspberry smoothie -- courtesy of Jeremiah Stephens -- is sitting on my desk, and I'm daydreaming about making furniture look beautiful and beaches.
I had a good talk with my daddy today. Those are the best. I haven't been able to get in touch with Ash, Dayna or Rae. Apparently, it's a busy Saturday for everyone. Maybe I'll give myself a manicure while I wait for Janna to return to the winter wonderland that is Cedarville. The snowflakes are falling slowly, and they're huge. I wish I had someone to go play in it with me right now. Namely, Krysten, who is still lost to the great state of Indiana. But never fear -- she'll be home tonight.
I had lunch today with Ruth, and it was a near-spiritual experience. She gets me immediately. We click and laugh and talk about the Atkins diet and weddings. Her mother who is 85 is getting married next month to a man she met in August, so there's much to be planned and discussed. It's nearly as exciting as Amber's wedding. But not completely.
I'm going to go find Janna, take inventory on the concessions stand and try to finish reading "The Betrayal" so I can get a good start on "The Da Vinci Code". Tonight: performance number 3 and a movie night at Janna's. It doesn't get any better than this.
