I had the house to myself this weekend. Friday night was scary. We went to see the Matrix Reloaded, and then ate late night Chinese - that's always iffy on the digestive system. It was Tom, Jenn, Chad, Josh, Ruthie, Ben, Erik, Kevin, Ralph and mee. Good movie. It made me think a lot, and tied in with some of the things I studied the second half of the semester in philosophy - fatalism and such. I had a small talk with Chad about it, and I want to talk about it more. Chad makes me think, and I like that. We went to the guys' apartment afterwards and talked and hung out. I didn't end up getting home until around 1. I was scared. Erik called to make sure that I got home. Wasn't that nice of him? I think there were thunderstorms. If there weren't, I definitely dreamed there were. What little time I slept, I dreamed.
It was a lonely, scary night.
Don't worry or fret, dear ones. Saturday was much better.
It was wicked crazy, though. I went to the barn in the morning, and took care of Tania, and went shopping for Aaron's first birthday present. I wrapped it and went to his party (he's so cute! IM me if you want a picture of him eating his cake.) We had a lot of fun. Mrs. Min and I were a team because neither of our families could make it. She makes me laugh a lot. After that I went to the church and bought ice for the ziti dinner the kids were having to raise $$ for camp. Picked up Dayna and we did grocery shopping.
Dayna and I had sooooo much fun.
We cooked dinner. Actually, Dayna cooked dinner. I sprinkled parsley on the chicken, and made the salad, and set the table. Oh, and I knew where stuff was since I'm the one who resides in my house. That's about the level of my contribution. But I tried. Dayna made fried chicken and Spanish tortillas. They were soo good. We had a good time. Got dressed up and went to Archie Moore's for dessert and more food (we should never be allowed to eat whatever we want again.
Ever.) After that, it was bad.
We
reeked of smoke. And then we stunk up the guys' apartment. Oops.
We watched Maximum Exposure with Sten, Seth and Erik. Erik and Sten picked on Dayna's toe. She wins quote of the day.
Quote of the Day: "You know, my toe may be ugly on the outside, but it's beautiful on the inside. And that's where it counts." -
the divine one
I laughed. A lot.
We got home at like 2:00 or something. I don't know. Showered to get all of the gross smell out of us and went to sleep. Chatted about boys like we always do right before we fall asleep. It was a good day. We laughed a lot and just had a good time in general. I made Dayna laugh by eating expired dressing and probably doing something else too. I just don't remember it right now. I slept a lot better on Saturday night than I did on Friday night.
Today was church. Yaay. I sat with the Bennett girls -- possibly the cutest girls in existence. Cleaned my stall. Out to lunch @ Dino's w/ Kate, Seth, Erik, Sten, Dean and Ralph. Dropped by the apartment for about 40 minutes. Rode Spot. Erik watched. He was bored cause he missed Rachel almost as much as I did.
Speaking of Rachel, I just saw pictures of my baby sister dressed up. She looked sooo pretty. She's beautiful. Ya'll should see the pictures. She's so cute!! Okay, that's enough of my gushing.
I think I might go read my Bible now. It's getting to be that time of the night. ;) Sleep tight. Til tomorrow or whenever.
