How much do I love my job?
So, so much.
I can't believe it's the end of the week already. It flew by, full of splitting invoices, filing, laughing on the phone with Ben over lunch, trying to beat my high score in Battleship, and snacks from the department desk.
Nancy Novak in Accounting had a birthday, and both departments celebrated. The brownies were amazing.
Today was our surprise baby shower for my department secretary, Christina. She was totally shocked -- she started crying as soon as she walked into the Bermuda board room. Everyone was laughing and hugging and playing with Winnie the Pooh balloons. Even Pretty Boy in Imports came.
I went to Wendy's on Wednesday night and sat on Grammy's car trunk with Ashley. We talked about a million things and soaked in the warm night air. We curled up for hours, playing with some of the Burt's Bees stuff Ben got me for my birthday, praying, and sometimes tearing up a little. I get to see her tonight and I am thiiiiiiiiiiis excited.
Another high point of the week: talking to David William for twenty minutes.
My family birthday party was Monday, and Chad and Dayna came too, because Chad lives in my basement and Dayna is family, too. I miss Dayna. I haven't seen her in D-A-Y-S and I think I might be suffering.
Today I did invoicing and played with the credit card machine to get ready for our annual Users Group Seminar next week. I like playing with the credit cards.. they keep me out of trouble.
I am off to change clothes, go to LA Hair and watch 'The Chad Meyer Sessions' live tonight with my Ashaboom. Keep James and Dayna in your prayers.
Wonder Boy is still wonderful. Thanks to all those who inquired. ;)

He's one of the best things that's ever happened to me.
Pretty wedding. Good food. Boys in blue. White flowers. Kat and Rachel. Ben on the phone. Mall with Jeremy and Kat. New shoes + sweats. Lots of laughter.
Children's science museum. Walking the CitiWalk. Grouchy parking attendants. 'The Prince and Me'. Lotion.
Flight from Toledo to Detroit = canceled. Ben coming back to drive me to Detroit, along with a hitchhiker. Buckeye candy. People-watching with Ben in Detroit. Man in the Wendy's lot leaning out his window to watch us.
(Ben and I are apparently very watchable.)
Holding hands. Crying at security the first time. Trying to be brave. Husky stuffed animal to remind me of Snow. Running mascara. Giggles through tears. Disappearing into the terminal. Feeling my phone vibrate right away.
I have to go back - 50 days without him is too many. Watch out, Toledo. I will return.
