What a crazy weekend. The show went up, with only minor difficulties. I am SO proud of this cast and crew. They have worked their butts off, and it shows. They have worked both with me, and for me, and I am so grateful for that.
Nate's family was here this weekend, too. I only got to see them a tiny bit, because of the show, but I got lots of good "mom and dad" hugs, and a Cameron waist hug, too. Plus Rendy made me cookies. Mmm.. fall is officially here. Suz, Jon, David and I went to Panera in between shows on Sunday and Suz and I got the broccoli cheddar soup. It was our way of ringing in autumn. Sort of like ringing in the new year. But different.
Having Suz and Jon here was just like old times. I miss them like whoa. Friday night I got about 3 hours of sleep since I stayed at Jillian's with Suz and Lisa, and had to do homecoming + two performances on Saturday. It was worth it. Applebee's, Sunday night dinners, movie runs -- they're just better when Boltzy and Collins are around. Can't wait for fall break!
The Alumni office is closed today, so I don't have to work. Mmm. I'm working on my team project instead, and visiting Jen's STP rehearsal to give her (and Miss Tuxhorn!) an extra special hug. Then the aforementioned Crystal and I are going to go to the registars's office since I never got a graduation packet. They're going to hate me over there.
The very first few days of autumn soothe me. The wind and the cloudiness and the gusts of cold air and the leaves just highlighted with reds and oranges remind me slightly of the East Coast. For a few days, I'm not in Ohio, I'm just in autumn. It's the little things.
Johnson is great and I heart my roommate, but it's no Willetts.
