"Are you still irritated?" - Sarah
"No, he always comes up with really good excuses." - Emily
I laughed.
This weekend was good. I feel ten years older at the end of it. We saw Janna's show, and it made me laugh, too. It was "The Taming of the Shrew", set in the 80s. Approximately 48% could never have made it to Cedarville's stage. Even in Alford. At the end, we got on stage and danced like we did last year in the Dollhouse. Well, Janna and I did. Nate and Suz sort of watched and laughed.
On Saturday, I slept in. Really, really far in. I showered and went to watch Cameron kick toosh at karate. He's the smallest kid in the class, but works so hard. It shows. He can do a high block like nothing you've ever seen before. We left the karate studio and ate at Applebee's. Nate and I split what is quickly becoming our regular. Mmm.. orange chicken. After that, we hit Plainfield in full force for clothing. I got some cute things via permission from Mom. I helped Rendy pick out some boots. Score.
Saturday night was Christmas at its finest. We all got dressed up. I was in my room, straightening my hair when this conversation ensued through my half-closed door:
"Sarah, you look so pretty!" - Cameron
Keep in mind, I was in dress pants and an old tank top.
"Thanks. Did Nate tell you to say that?" - Sarah
"Yes." - Cameron
"You're supposed to say no!" - Nate
"NO!" - Cameron
We had dinner at Rick's Boatyard Cafe; Nate and I split the surf + turf and the lobster was divine. DIVINE.
Throughout the entire Yuletide Celebration, I looked like a small child. I am sure of this because I have seen Nate's imitation of me with big eyes. Everything was beautiful, and they sang some of my favorite songs.
I got to see Janna and Suz again today, even if it was only for a short while. I love love love those girls.
And the Colts are 12-0. ROCK ON.
Back to the grind. :)
